The highly anticipated anime movie StrawPri: Hajimari no Monogatari — Strawberry School Festival!!!! is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on July 19. Alongside this announcement, a new teaser visual and trailer have been unveiled.

Strawberry Prince is an entertainment/idol unit managed by STPR, established in June 2016. The current lineup consists of Rinu, Root, Colon, Satomi, Jel, and Nanamori. Nanamori, credited under his real name Masato Kashiwabara, not only holds a planning producer role for the film but is also credited as the original creator.

The anime production team includes director Naoki Matsuura (Liar, Liar co-director), scriptwriter Chika Suzumura (Burn the Witch), character designer Yumi Nakamura (Liar, Liar), music by STPR Records, and animation production by LIDENFILMS.

The group primarily engages with their audience through video platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and TwitCasting. Alongside music videos, their YouTube channel, which currently boasts 2.77 million subscribers, offers a range of content including video game livestreams and entertaining videos. The members typically reveal their faces exclusively during live events, while in other instances, they are often represented by avatars (similar to VTubers) or have their faces obscured in post-production or omitted entirely in videos that showcase their real bodies.
